Every season there is a wedding that stands out in your mind.

It isn't the scale or budget it is usually the couple and their love for one another.
Late last year a charming young woman came to see me her name was Jessica and she had done a quite spectacular job of organising of their fast approaching wedding.

I know how much time and research hours go into such an event and she had approached it with gusto and dedication.

The ceremony was in Parnell and the reception at an amazing venue on Waiheke called Chardy Ridge.
Every detail was thought thru and the families and guests enjoyed a great wedding.    

The result was a huge success,you only need to see the pictures to share their happiness.

Steve and Bianca..their style and day.

It is a privilege to be part of a wedding,to share a special couple's happiness and joy.  


We have so much love and investment in those we are close to, so I wanted to do something really expressive of who these two wonderful friends are and what they mean to me.


Both Steve and Bianca are deeply creative and had clear ideas about their wedding vision.
Working alongside them and adding the finishing touches was easy as their theme was such a personal reflection of both personalities.

Bianca gave me an open floral brief which was somewhat daunting...hey no pressure!
In these instances as a wedding designer you just have to follow your floral instinct and create magic that embodies the day and the wonderful people involved.

Vintage vs. Vintage

Vintage the new the old..Some many of my brides when I ask them to describe the style I hear 'vintage'.
Its chic,feminine and timeless and there are no rules but there are good and bad vintage styles,sometimes less is more so choose your props carefully picking exquisite pieces as a focal so the thought and details are seen on the day...Here is a lovely example of Vintage done well.
We have a beautiful array of props to choose from and mixing in your own treasures is make a gorgeous combination.
Scout for tablecloths,unique vessels,jars,platters,chairs,silverware and anything you just really love.

What a brilliant idea for those who want a keepsake forever.

Kate Moss..On the big day.

I saw shots of this wedding in American Vogue and various wedding sites and was drawn in by not only the details but the relaxed happiness of Kate's day.
So many celebrities are so over the top and the design becomes almost a competition but this whimsical country setting that embraces her day and personal style. 
I was lucky enough to meet Kate a million years ago at a London fashion week show,
I was working with a team of stylists back stage scrambling to get her ready for her next cat walk run,literally taping flowers to her body and dress.She personified cool and chatted away smoking a ciggie,since then I have always been a fan.
To me she is a unique,amazing woman who has flourished and grown despite being criticised by media and industry alike.

To see her on her wedding day relaxed and radiant  made me happy so I want to share this wedding.
